Hewes Super Bowl Trophy
In: Updates
9 Jan 2010Guys,
As of Saturday, January 9 @ 7:34am EST, here is the status of Wild Card weekend game scores being submitted (I receive an e-mail confirmation when you submit your picks using the website, but cannot see your picks, obviously):
If you have submitted your picks, thanks for using the website. I also hope you submitted picks for all 4 games this weekend (see prior blogs and the website for rules on this).
Buffalo Bill, Greg the Great and Ben the Butler – the clock is ticking… I will submit my picks later today.
The Wild Card games look to be very intriguing:
NY Jets @ Cincinnati– Can the Bagels resurface from last week’s national TV pasting? Can Ochocinco get Uno or Duo TD’s vs. Revis? How will Sanchez perform in his 1st ever playoff game? Is the Jets D that good? What’s up with Carson Palmer? Will Cedric Benson make a big impact? Will the Jets RB’s be as productive again?
Philadelphia @ Dallas – Can the Eagles regroup from last week’s “effort?” Is Dallas really that good? Will the Cowboys lose their 1st playoff game in their new $683 bazillion stadium, just like they did in the regular season? How many punts will bounce off the scoreboard?
Baltimore @ New England– No Wes Welker, but Julian Edelman; should Brady and company be concerned? Will the Raven D play like the Raven D of a few years ago? Will Flacco play as well this year as he did last year in the playoffs? What tricks does Belichick have up the sleeve of his gray cutoff sweatshirt?
Green Bay @ Arizona– Everyone likes the Pack, all of a sudden. No Anquan Boldin, but still mighty capable at WR with Fitzgerald and Breaston. Charles Woodson is back, but Rogers-Cromartie is iffy. Will the Cards be the surprise of the playoffs this year, too? Or is that role now being played by Green Bay?
Good luck to everyone – scores will be updated on the Standings tab of the website at the end of every quarter so you can keep up with the action and how you’re doing. There could be a 15-minute lag, however, as we’re using Google Docs for this function. It may not be the fastest, but it works.
Thanks to Greg the Great for design and functionality of the HSBT website!! He devoted quite a bit of time over the past year in getting this created for all of us.
