Tomorrow is the last of our 13-game playoff season.  It’s been a record-setting past several weeks, due to our expansion to 10 participants.  Buffalo Bill kicked off the Super Wild Card Weekend with new records for points in a game (142) and points for the round (302).  In that round we also had 5 goose-eggs in 1 game, obviously a new record as well.  Then, in the Divisional Round, rookie THE Chosen One set a new standard with 461 points for those 4 games.  Lastly, JTB broke the record for points in a Conference Championship game with 428.  On the flip side, none of the 10 participants will win the elusive 100 point SB Bonus.

Who is going to set a new record for the Super Bowl?

As it stands right now, the 3 original HSBT participants (dating back to 1989) occupy the top 3 spots:

• Buffalo Bill leads with 885 points.  He has held this position 11 times and won the trophy 3 times.  Will the sweaty palms and heart palpitations be in check this time and lead him to his 4th trophy?
• 2025 Winner is only 46 points behind, with 839 points
• Comeback Kid is in line for the bronze chicken wing medal with 774 points

Rounding out the HSBT competition are the following wannabe’s:

• HenricoFiveOh is going for a record 9th trophy, with 737 points
• JTB is trying to defend his trophy victory from a year ago, with 711 points
• Rookie THE Chosen One has performed (un) surprisingly well, with 707 points
• Greg the Great is firmly entrenched in 7th place with 672 points
• City Kid, our other rookie, has performed admirably in his 1st year, with 636 points
• Pete the Terp needs a spot-on prediction for Sunday’s game to have a shot at his 3rd trophy, as he has 621 points
• Ice Cold, in his sophomore season, with 334 points needs to hit on a wild prediction to have a chance.  Can you say Eagles 41, Chiefs 17?

Thanks to all Participants who have submitted their picks on-time thru our website.  It has made The Commish’s job a lot easier.

Reminder that your score for Super Bowl LIX is due by 6:30pm EST tomorrow (that’s 3:30pm for the West Coast contingent).  I will send out an email immediately after the Bills beat the Eagles to inform everyone of who the trophy winner is.
